Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: October 20, 2026 · Last Updated: October 20, 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to LCO Law LLC ("LCO Law," "the Firm," "we," "our," or "us").
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, online content, educational materials, contact forms, appointment scheduling tools, webinars, and other online services made available by LCO Law (collectively, the "Website and Online Services").
By accessing or using our Website and Online Services, you acknowledge these Terms. Where your affirmative agreement is requested, including through an electronic checkbox or similar mechanism, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the applicable Website and Online Services.
LCO Law LLC is a Florida law firm based in Tampa, Florida, providing legal services in areas that include estate planning, probate, asset protection, business planning, tax law, real estate matters, and legal matters affecting business owners and real estate investors.
These Terms apply to the Firm's Website and Online Services. They do not replace any written engagement agreement, fee agreement, or other agreement governing an attorney-client relationship.
2. Website Content Is for General Information Only
The information available through our Website and Online Services is provided for general informational and educational purposes.
Although LCO Law strives to provide accurate, useful, and timely information, legal requirements and interpretations can change, and the application of the law depends on the specific circumstances of each matter.
Nothing on our website, in our articles, newsletters, videos, webinars, downloadable resources, or other publicly available materials should be interpreted as individualized legal advice nor does it establish any attorney-client relationship.
You should not make legal, financial, tax, estate planning, real estate, or business decisions solely based on information obtained through our Website and Online Services.
Information provided through our Website and Online Services is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified attorney who has reviewed your particular circumstances.
We do not guarantee that every statement or resource will reflect the most recent legislative, regulatory, or judicial developments.
3. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Accessing our website, contacting our office, submitting a form, attending a webinar, downloading educational materials, or communicating with the Firm does not, by itself, establish an attorney-client relationship.
An attorney-client relationship is generally established only when LCO Law agrees to represent you, the appropriate engagement agreement has been executed, and any applicable conditions of engagement have been satisfied.
Participation in a discovery call, initial inquiry, or preliminary discussion does not guarantee that LCO Law will accept your matter.
Payment for a consultation does not automatically establish an ongoing attorney-client relationship or obligate the Firm to undertake representation beyond the specifically agreed consultation services.
The Firm reserves the right to decline representation, including when a conflict of interest exists, the matter falls outside the Firm's practice areas, or professional judgment indicates we would not be the right fit for representation.
Nothing in these Terms limits duties imposed by applicable law or the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, including duties that may be owed to prospective clients.
4. Communications and Confidential Information
We welcome inquiries from individuals interested in learning about our legal services.
However, submitting information through our website or contacting us does not automatically mean that LCO Law has agreed to represent you.
Please do not submit highly sensitive documents, confidential information, or detailed facts concerning your legal matter through a general contact form unless as requested by the Firm through an authorized secure communication channel.
Before accepting a representation, LCO Law will need to conduct a conflict-of-interest review.
Information received from prospective clients will be handled consistent with the Firm's applicable professional obligations, including Rule 4-1.18 of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
The Firm may use email, telephone, text messaging, online forms, video conferencing, and secure client communication platforms to communicate with you, as appropriate.
While we take reasonable precautions to protect communications, no internet-based transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Existing clients should use the communication methods designated by the Firm for their legal matters.
5. Practice Areas and Scope of Legal Services
LCO Law offers legal services in selected areas of Florida law, including:
- Estate planning and legacy planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Asset protection planning
- Business formation and business planning
- Tax planning and related legal advisory services
- Real estate litigation and related transaction matters
- Legal matters involving landlords and real estate investors
- Ongoing strategic legal advisory services
The description of any practice area on our website does not constitute an offer or guarantee of representation.
Legal services are provided only when consistent with applicable licensing requirements, professional rules, and the terms of a separate engagement agreement.
The availability and scope of legal services may vary based on the facts of your matter and the qualifications and authorization of the attorneys involved.
6. Consultations, Appointments, and Scheduling
LCO Law may offer discovery calls, paid legal consultations, planning sessions, and other appointments through online scheduling tools or direct communication with our team.
Certain consultations require advance payment, completion of questionnaires, submission of documents, or other preparation.
When scheduling an appointment, you agree to provide accurate and complete contact information and any reasonably requested information necessary to evaluate or prepare for your appointment.
We may request that required questionnaires and supporting materials be submitted at least three business days before a scheduled consultation.
If the required information is not received by the applicable deadline, the Firm may reschedule the appointment so that our attorneys have adequate time to prepare.
Appointment availability is subject to change. LCO Law may reschedule or decline appointments when reasonably necessary, including for conflicts, incomplete information, emergencies, or attorney availability.
Any cancellation, rescheduling, refund, or no-show policy specifically disclosed during booking or in a separate written agreement will govern that appointment.
7. Fees, Payments, and Refunds
Some of our Website and Online Services allow you to pay for consultations, planning sessions, or other services electronically.
All fees are quoted in United States dollars unless expressly stated otherwise.
Fees for legal services, including flat fees, retainers, deposits, and costs, will be governed by the applicable written engagement agreement or other written fee terms.
Payment of a fee through our website does not expand the scope of services agreed upon by the Firm.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. Payment transactions may be subject to the applicable processor's terms and privacy practices.
Additional charges, processing fees, or costs, when applicable, will be disclosed in accordance with applicable law and professional requirements.
Refunds, if any, will be determined under the applicable booking terms, written engagement agreement, professional obligations, and governing law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit a client's rights concerning fees, trust funds, or termination of representation under the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
8. Educational Materials, Webinars, and Events
LCO Law provides educational content through webinars, presentations, newsletters, articles, videos, guides, downloadable materials, and other resources.
These resources are intended to increase public understanding of legal topics, including estate planning, probate, asset protection, business planning, taxation, and real estate matters.
Participation in an educational event does not establish an attorney-client relationship.
Information presented through the various media is general in nature and may not address all exceptions, legal requirements, or circumstances applicable to a particular situation.
Statements made during educational programs should not be relied upon as personalized legal or tax advice.
LCO Law may record certain webinars or educational events. When recordings are made, we will provide applicable disclosures and obtain consent when required by law.
Unless expressly authorized, attendees may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit, or publicly publish our educational presentations or recordings.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
The Website and Online Services, including their original content, text, graphics, logos, videos, presentations, articles, downloadable resources, branding elements, and other materials, are owned by LCO Law or used with appropriate permission.
These materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Without prior written permission, you may not:
- Reproduce or republish substantial portions of our original materials for commercial purposes.
- Sell, license, or distribute our proprietary templates or educational resources.
- Use the Firm's name, logo, trademarks, or branding in a manner suggesting endorsement or affiliation.
- Modify or remove copyright notices or ownership information.
- Present LCO Law's original materials as your own work.
You may share links to publicly available pages on our website, provided the sharing does not misrepresent the Firm or its services.
No ownership rights are transferred through your use of our Website and Online Services.
10. Client Portals and Digital Applications
LCO Law may provide access to digital tools and applications designed to support client communication, document organization, appointment scheduling, legal service management, or other activities.
These may include the LCO GPS application, REPS Tracker, MyLegacy, and other Firm-authorized platforms, as made available.
Access to certain applications may be restricted to eligible clients, subscribers, or authorized users.
If you receive access to a client application, you agree to:
- Use the application only for authorized and lawful purposes.
- Maintain the security of your account and access credentials.
- Provide accurate information when using application features.
- Avoid sharing access with unauthorized individuals.
- Promptly report suspected unauthorized access or security concerns.
- Refrain from interfering with the application's functionality or security.
Access to particular features may depend on your engagement, subscription, or service arrangement with the Firm.
Digital applications are tools that support legal services. They do not independently provide legal representation, guarantee legal compliance, or replace advice from an attorney.
For example, time-tracking tools intended to assist real estate investors with recordkeeping do not guarantee qualification for Real Estate Professional Status or any particular tax treatment. Eligibility depends on applicable law, individual circumstances, and supporting documentation.
Client applications may also be governed by additional terms, privacy notices, or licensing arrangements. In the event of an inconsistency, the more specific applicable agreement governs that service, subject to controlling law.
11. Accuracy of Information You Provide
When submitting inquiries, completing questionnaires, requesting services, or using our online applications, you agree to provide information that is true, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
You are responsible for informing the Firm of material changes to information previously submitted when those changes may affect your requested services.
Incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated information may affect the Firm's ability to evaluate a matter, schedule an appointment, prepare documents, or provide effective legal services.
LCO Law may request additional information or clarification when necessary.
The Firm's professional responsibilities to existing clients remain governed by applicable law and their engagement agreements.
12. Electronic Communications and Signatures
By providing your contact information and requesting communication through our Website and Online Services, you authorize LCO Law to respond to your inquiry using the contact information you provide, subject to applicable law and your communication preferences.
Where you have consented to electronic transactions, certain documents, notices, agreements, or acknowledgments may be delivered or executed electronically.
Electronic signatures and records may be recognized under applicable law, including the Florida Uniform Electronic Transaction Act.
Your use of electronic communications does not waive any right to receive disclosures, records, or notices in a form required by law.
Promotional email and text communications are governed by applicable consent requirements and opt-out rights.
Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of retaining legal services unless a particular communication is necessary for a lawful and separately agreed service.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
We recognize that privacy is especially important when individuals seek information about legal matters.
Our collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information are addressed in our separate Privacy Policy.
That policy should be reviewed together with these Terms.
LCO Law may use third-party platforms to facilitate website hosting, scheduling, payment processing, communication, document exchange, and other business operations.
We take privacy and professional confidentiality obligations seriously and strive to use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved.
No online platform or electronic transmission method is completely immune from security risks.
Information protected by attorney-client privilege, professional confidentiality rules, or other applicable law will be handled consistent with those governing requirements.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may contain links to outside websites, educational resources, payment processors, scheduling platforms, and third-party services.
These links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute an endorsement or recommendation.
LCO Law does not control the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of independent third-party websites.
Your use of third-party websites and services may be subject to their separate terms and policies.
We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information or completing transactions.
Nothing in this section diminishes any responsibility LCO Law has under applicable law or professional rules when selecting or using vendors in connection with legal services.
15. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to misuse our Website and Online Services.
Prohibited activities include:
- Attempting unauthorized access to protected accounts, records, or systems.
- Introducing malicious software or engaging in activity that disrupts website operations.
- Using automated tools to collect or extract substantial amounts of content without authorization.
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity.
- Submitting knowingly false, fraudulent, or unlawful information.
- Infringing intellectual property rights or violating applicable laws.
- Attempting to access confidential information belonging to other users or clients.
LCO Law may restrict or discontinue access to website features when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security concerns, or violations of these Terms.
Any restriction affecting an existing client's access to documents or legal services remains subject to applicable professional obligations and the client's rights.
16. No Guarantee of Legal Outcomes
LCO Law is committed to providing professional legal services and helping clients make informed decisions.
However, no attorney or law firm can guarantee a particular legal outcome.
Information about legal strategies, potential benefits, successful matters, asset protection arrangements, estate planning solutions, tax strategies, or real estate proceedings should not be construed as a promise that similar results will be achieved in another matter.
Every legal situation is different.
Outcomes depend on numerous factors, including applicable law, specific facts, documentation, opposing parties, judicial disposition, administrative actions, and circumstances beyond the Firm's control.
Nothing on our website should be interpreted as a guarantee of success, a particular financial result, or the elimination of all legal or financial risk.
17. Website Availability and Technical Limitations
We strive to maintain a reliable and accessible website.
However, our Website and Online Services may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical difficulties, third-party service interruptions, or events beyond our reasonable control.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to publicly available website features.
The Firm may modify, suspend, or discontinue particular website features when reasonably necessary.
You should not rely on website submissions, online forms, or general email communications to deliver urgent legal notices or time-sensitive instructions unless the Firm has expressly agreed to that method of communication.
If you face an approaching legal deadline, you should promptly contact the Firm through an appropriate confirmed communication channel or seek timely legal assistance.
Nothing in this section limits LCO Law's professional responsibilities concerning deadlines in matters it has agreed to handle.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, publicly available website content and general online resources are provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis.
Although we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information and functional services, we do not warrant that all publicly available content will be complete, current, error-free, or suitable for every user's particular purposes.
This disclaimer concerns the general Website and Online Services and does not disclaim or reduce the Firm's duties of competence, diligence, confidentiality, communication, or other professional obligations arising from an attorney-client relationship.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, LCO Law is not responsible for losses arising solely from a visitor's unauthorized use or misuse of general website content, technical interruptions, or reliance on publicly available educational materials as a substitute for individualized professional advice.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
These Terms do not waive claims for legal malpractice, limit the Firm's professional liability in violation of applicable ethical rules, or otherwise diminish rights or protections afforded to clients under Florida law.
Any rights or obligations arising from an established attorney-client relationship remain subject to the applicable engagement agreement, professional obligations, and governing law.
20. Testimonials, Reviews, and Prior Results
Our website or other online platforms may feature client testimonials, reviews, or descriptions of legal matters.
These materials reflect individual experiences and circumstances.
They should not be interpreted as guarantees, predictions, or promises of similar results.
Testimonials and descriptions of prior matters are presented subject to applicable rules governing attorney advertising and confidentiality.
LCO Law will obtain appropriate authorization before disclosing protected client information or using client statements where required by applicable law and professional rules.
21. Changes to These Terms
LCO Law reserves the right to update these Terms as necessary to reflect changes in our services, website operations, applicable law, or business practices.
When changes are made, the revised Terms will be posted with an updated effective date.
Material changes may also be communicated through additional notice when appropriate or legally required.
Continued use of the Website and Online Services following the effective date of revised Terms may constitute acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these Terms will not retroactively modify an existing legal engagement agreement or override contractual rights without an appropriate legal basis.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflicting choice-of-law principles, except where another jurisdiction's law or mandatory legal requirements apply.
Any dispute arising solely from use of the public Website and Online Services will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts of competent jurisdiction as determined by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms alters applicable professional disciplinary procedures, mandatory jurisdictional requirements, or a client's rights relating to a legal representation.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
Any unenforceable provision will be interpreted or limited only to the extent legally permissible and consistent with the purpose of these Terms.
24. Relationship to Other Agreements
These Terms govern general use of LCO Law's Website and Online Services.
If you become a client, your attorney-client relationship, legal fees, scope of representation, responsibilities, and applicable service terms will be governed by your written engagement agreement and applicable law.
Separate agreements may also govern subscription-based services, ongoing advisory arrangements, software access, and other specialized services.
Where a separate written agreement conflicts with these Terms concerning a service governed by that agreement, the applicable separate agreement will control, subject to mandatory law and professional obligations.
