Years ago, I wanted nothing more than to help clients prevent expensive battles in court and grow their business. I had a great paying job as the president of a title company, a wonderful toddler, and a terrible marriage. While my job was financially rewarding, it did not allow me to help the business owners and families that I wanted to help, or in the ways I wanted to help them.
I knew I needed to change course so that I could turn my law firm into the business that would allow me to do just that. But I procrastinated, and kept working in a job that wasn’t fulfilling. I didn’t know how to tell my (then) husband that I wanted to go in a different direction. I was nervous about being vulnerable and not having a predictable paycheck. I didn’t know how long it would take to be profitable. I was afraid of being rejected for doing things differently from other firms. I was afraid that if I made mistakes, my business wouldn’t survive. This fear of change kept me from doing what I needed to do to enjoy my career, to enjoy my purpose.
In 2019, I decided that fear would no longer control my life. I needed to be in charge of my decisions. I found new mentors. I informed my clients that things were going to be different, better. I learned everything and anything about running a full-time business. I created a Business Plan. And then, I executed that Plan. I review and revise that plan a few times a year to make sure that I'm on track with my business.
My life did a 180 degree turn in 2021. My years long divorce battle was finalized. I got married. I gained a bonus son. I learned a lot about relationships and setting healthy boundaries, effective communication, and managing blended family schedules, traditions, and exes. My prior estate plan was like an "emergency kit." I knew it would be essential to create a new estate plan that incorporated the completely different life and business I now have. This new model is what we provide our estate planning clients, and I would not have it any other way.
Looking back, if there was one thing I would have done differently, is that I would have done it sooner. I would have found my mentors and coaches YEARS AGO.
That's right, my team and I work with multiple business coaches to make sure my business grows and to ensure that we are always providing better service for our clients. I love what I do now. I love who we help.
When business owners and families who need estate plans call me, they don’t know what can happen or what to do, they’re afraid of making mistakes, and they are afraid of upsetting loved ones and afraid of failing.
Being vulnerable is scary but it doesn’t have to be paralyzing. That’s why we’re here. That’s why we do things differently. We’ve been there, and we are here to help you prevent the mistakes and pain that we went through, so that success is easier, faster, and enjoyable.

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the great work that Natalia Ouellette and her team at LCO Law performed on my behalf.
My family and I had been through a legal ordeal involving an inherited property. This unpleasant situation had been going on for over two years. I had retained an attorney and was getting nowhere with endless hearings, court costs and attorney fees.
This frustrating situation took a toll on my family emotionally and financially. We were pleasantly surprised and relieved at the speed and ease that Natalia and her team resolved the issue.
My family and I are deeply grateful for the help and guidance that were offered at a delicate time. I will be happy to enthusiastically endorse and refer your company to anyone with a contested real estate problem."
