Years ago, I wanted nothing more than to help Florida Real Estate Investors prevent expensive battles in court and grow their business. I had a great paying job as the president of a title company, a wonderful toddler, and a terrible marriage. While my job was financially rewarding, it did not allow me to help the business owners that I wanted to help in the ways I wanted to help them.
I knew I needed to change course so that I could turn my law firm into the business that would allow me to do just that. But I procrastinated, and kept working in a job that wasn’t fulfilling. I didn’t know how to tell my (then) husband that I wanted to go in a different direction. I was nervous about being vulnerable and not having a predictable paycheck. I didn’t know how long it would take to be profitable. I was afraid of being rejected for doing things differently from other firms. I was afraid that if I made mistakes, my business wouldn’t survive. This fear of change kept me from doing what I needed to do to enjoy my career, to enjoy my purpose.
In 2019, I decided that fear would no longer control my life. I needed to be in charge of my decisions. I found new mentors. I informed my clients that things were going to be different, better. I learned everything and anything about running a full-time business. I created a Business Plan. And then, I executed that Plan. I review and revise that plan a few times a year to make sure that I'm on track with my business.
Looking back, if there was one thing I would have done differently, is that I would have done it sooner. I would have found my mentors and coaches sooner. My team and I work with multiple business coaches to make sure my business grows and to ensure that we are always providing better service for our clients. I love what I do now. I love who we help. I want Florida real estate investors to grow and love their businesses too.
When real estate investors come to see me, they don’t know what can happen or what to do, they’re afraid of making mistakes, and they are afraid of upsetting loved ones and afraid of failing.
Being vulnerable is scary but it doesn’t have to be paralyzing. That’s why we’re here. That’s why we do things differently. We’ve been there, and now we’re here for Florida real estate investors, so that they can have a successful business that provides for their families and makes their financial dreams a reality.
We believe educated Floridians are more successful, that's why we have a YouTube channel with over 180 videos on rentals, tax deeds, foreclosures, running a business, and estate planning, found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK4V2_St6w06XDUOJJOXMxw,
I wrote the books on Florida Tax Deeds and Florida Foreclosure Sales and frequently update clients on the latest news, proposed laws, and legal changes that impact their business.
I have successfully completed nearly a thousand Tax Deed cases and have skillfully represented hundreds of foreclosure bidders in hundreds of cases, assisting them in recovering deposits, confirming foreclosure sales, negotiating lien payoffs, and re-foreclosing omitted junior lienholders. For nearly a decade, I was president of a Tampa Bay title company, and participated in over six thousand Florida real estate closings.
I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of South Florida (2005), a Masters in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and International Business from the University of South Florida (2010), and a Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from Stetson University College of Law (2009).
I have been practicing real estate, business, and estate planning law for over twelve years, am fluent in Spanish and French, love the Florida real estate business community, and enjoy traveling with family.
I enjoy educating, some call me a natural born teacher. I was the lecturer on Florida 2020 CLE Course REAL3100 - Tax Deeds: What Are They, How Can I Make Them Marketable, And What If They Need To Be Undone?
and recently I was the lecturer on Florida 2022 CLE Course REAL 4300-Foreclosure: Mastering After The Sale Challenges https://www.nacle.com/CLE/Courses/Foreclosure-Mastering-After-The-Sale-Challenges-1980
I am also a Personal Family Lawyer, which allows our practice to provide much more comprehensive and business planning for our real estate investors. After all, I'm here to improve your business like I did with my business.

Alex Maldonado
Alex is our paralegal, but he is so much more than that! His goal in life is to leave this world better than he found it. "The work that a person does, and the people that it affects, matters." In pursuance of this, Alex studied law on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico at the Inter American School of Law, where he graduated in 2020.
During the first years of his studies, Alex worked at a law firm as a clerk, putting what he was learning into practical use. In the latter half of his education, he worked as a student trainee at the United States Attorneys Office, not only growing his knowledge of administrative legal work, but also being part of a team of people that were making a difference on the island of Puerto Rico. It was that same team that further reinforced his desire to pursue a career in the legal field. Seeing the impact that a group of dedicated people can have when they all strive toward a common goal, was inspirational to Alex.
Alex spends his personal time fishing, playing baseball, sketching, and writing. Although Alex feels that "by no stretch of the imagination do I excel in these hobbies" they each bring something positive to his life. He enjoys fishing for the peace of mind it brings him, baseball for the fun, sketching for the challenge of constantly learning something new, and writing for the introspection he gains from it.
Working at LCO Law, he looks forward to furthering his goal of making a difference in people's lives with a great team that is committed to educating Floridians to help prevent expensive battles in court, and provides necessary services for the betterment of families' and individuals' lives in Florida.

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the great work that Natalia Ouellette and her team at LCO Law performed on my behalf.
My family and I had been through a legal ordeal involving an inherited property. This unpleasant situation had been going on for over two years. I had retained an attorney and was getting nowhere with endless hearings, court costs and attorney fees.
This frustrating situation took a toll on my family emotionally and financially. We were pleasantly surprised and relieved at the speed and ease that Natalia and her team resolved the issue.
My family and I are deeply grateful for the help and guidance that were offered at a delicate time. I will be happy to enthusiastically endorse and refer your company to anyone with a contested real estate problem."
